It annoys me that she didn't announce it til after she put all the books out. But eh, it's not like i can do anything about it lol.

I totally saw it coming... But I expected the pairing to be one-sided Elphias/Albus rather than Albus/Gellert. But I love how the slash pairings in the HP Books are ones that you have to read between the lines to get. Young children wouldn't pick up on it (most adults didn't), so I really can't understand the reason why some parents are up in arms over this...

i know. it annoys me. its bad enough some Christians are against it for "being about devil worshiping" and now other people are saying "It'll teach my kid that Homosexuality is ok! Its evil!" Grrr... they had no problem before the announcement and they didn't even notice, so why now? People are so closed minded!

Yeah, people like Laura Mallory freak me out  . I wish that people would realise that the Harry Potter books are a work of fiction... Just because somebody reads HP doesn't mean that they advocate witch-craft. And there are actually a few religious (Christian) elements throughout the HP series, particuarly in Deathly Hallows. LOL... And you're so right about being being closed-minded, Lissy. A few people I talked to IRL about Dumbledore being gay assumed that this meant he was a paedophile. =[ |

yeah.... My entire family is closed minded... so i don't fit in at all.... and closed minded people drive me nuts at time... so living with them drives me even more nuts. thats why i love the internet... i can get away from them and find open minded people when i cant get out of the house to hang with friends or my BF!
