I have 2 suggestions which I hope you consider but I understand if you don't like them.
1. I think it would be good if you added pop as one of your catagories in your music section, you already have country. rock, oldies and with pop you complete the genres of music.
2. I think it would be a good idea to mass email your members to remind them of the site and think up some new topics for the forum. I noticed that there haven't been many people coming.

I probably should lol. The problem is I pretty much only go on really one other board besides this. I have it up on my fanfiction.net profile so does Lissa, but besides that...

There are other places to advertise besides boards, perhaps you could affiliate with a HP site. The forum, I help runs affiliates with many HP fan sites. You can affiliate with us if you want. Or you could ask your moderators to spread the word.

It would look good if you got some custom menu buttons made or changed the menu to text. To change the top menu bar to text you need to go to your admin panel and then general settings. Once there, find the forum preference that says text menu- and select yes. When you've done this you need to click on the save settings button. =] But it's just a suggestion... and if you don't like it you can always change the settings again.
There are a couple of other things you could play around with in terms of coding... Like putting the banner beneath the forum advertisements and re-sizing the forum width. It's really a matter of preference, but these sort of codes do make forums look really good. You can find a lot of good codes, with instructions, at SoCal, Extreme Data and ProBoards Support.
